To my neighbors,
It has been an honor and a privilege to represent the hardworking people of Airport Heights, Mountain View, and Russian Jack for the past two years. I ask for your vote to continue making a positive difference for you and your family, and for our area.
As your representative, I fought harmful cuts to our public schools. Instead I supported the position of the Anchorage School Board. We’ve got more to do and we need to provide the support necessary to achieve success.
We’ve worked together on important public safety improvements, including pedestrian access, lighting for pedestrian and business corridors, and to clean up our parks. Working with students from Clark Middle School I sponsored a measure to ensure students have a safe walk to school. I am committed to doing everything I can to keep our streets and neighborhoods safe.
As your representative on the Resources Committee, I fought to move the Alaska gasline forward and passed a measure to protect our wild Alaska salmon – key economic drivers for our future. I opposed wasteful spending, am pushing for a fair share of our resource wealth, and have pushed for planning for our economic future.
Together we can accomplish great things for our area and our state. I'm out walking our district and I hope we can talk more about the issues you care about. Let's keep in touch!
I hope to earn your vote, and on November 4th I hope you'll vote Tarr for State House District 19.
